East Asian Gouache Paintings on Paper of Flowers and Birds
Item Details
A pairing of East Asian gouache paintings on paper of birds and flowers. Each piece is painted on a rice paper ground, with metallic gold underlaid paint layers and delicate gouache depictions of birds and flowers. One piece depicts a pair of white birds standing in water with bamboo and mountains in the background. The other work depicts red and green flowers and leaves. Each piece is signed with a seal and hand written calligraphy, one to the lower right and one to the upper left. The works are presented mounted with yellow silk overlay in gold tone composite wood frames under acrylic glass, with hanging hardware on the verso.
Condition
- adhesive residue and scratches present on the acrylic glass; minor paint loss visible in the images.

- measured frame; visual image is 11" W x 11" H; both works are the same size.
