A limited edition embossed collagraph Hillside Houseby artist John R. Nartker (American 1930-1998). This unique inkless, embossed print depicts a village on a hillside. A variety of textures have been used to emboss the print giving the depicted structures character and dimension. This print is hand signed, titled, and numbered 83/100 in graphite to the lower margin. Presented matted in green and white, behind glass, and in a wood frame painted white. To the verso, wired to hang.

Known both locally and internationally, John R. Nartker is an artist in painting, printmaking, and ceramics. At the College of Mount St. Joseph, he served as the Department of Art Chair for eight years and inspired students as a professor for over 30 years.

Condition

- the print has two spots of discoloration to the left of center and another two smaller spots in the upper center. The glazing has areas of fogging.
