A bronze sculpture of Cupid. This piece presents the child-like god of desire in a partially seated pose with a curious expression, holding a shield and bow with a quiver of arrows on the ground. The figure is supported by a cloud-like extension from the bronze base, which is mounted to a round marble base. There are no apparent maker’s marks.
