A clay figure or muñeca (doll) by Josefina Aguilar of a man reading to children. It depicts a gray haired man seated on a pink chair reading to three small children, one on his lap and two clinging to him. They all have painted features and brightly colored clothing. The figures are connected together in a single piece and separate from the pink chair. It is signed ‘Josefina Aguilar’ to the back of the chair.

Condition

- faint yellow marks to lower shirt; dark mark the face of the boy in green; minor wear to the base of the chair.
