A collection of three abstract mixed media collages on canvas boards by listed American artist Ronald Ahlström (1922-2012). Composed of acrylic paint, ink, various paper scraps, fragments of printed media imagery, and other materials, these compositions feature abstract geometric designs, juxtaposed with erratic splatters, agitated scratches and delineations. One composition features a black silhouetted figure standing in front of a background of large yellow, red, blue, white, and black geometric shapes. All works are signed to the front or to the verso; two include additional handwritten information to the verso. Each composition remains unframed.
Condition
- some wear to compositions including small spots of paint loss, scratches, smudge marks throughout; minor fraying to canvas board edges.
