An assortment of three abstract compositions on canvas boards by listed American artist Ronald Ahlström (1922-2012). One painting, composed of acrylic and ink, features a bust portrait of a woman portrayed in a Cubist style with angular shapes and exaggerated features in vibrant colors; this composition is not signed. The other two works are mixed media collages composed of acrylic paint, ink, various paper scraps, fragmented printed imagery, and other materials arranged into layered geometric designs. These compositions are signed both to the lower right and to the versos; additional handwritten information about the works is also present to the versos. Each composition remains unframed.
Condition
- scratches, smudge marks, residue, and small spots of paint loss scattered throughout compositions; wear along edges includes minor fraying, small tears, and bending to canvas boards.
