A collection of three abstract mixed media collages on canvas boards by listed American artist Ronald Ahlström (1922-2012). Composed of acrylic paint, ink, various paper scraps, fragments of printed media imagery, and other materials, these compositions feature abstract geometric designs, some with agitated scratches and delineations. One composition titled Man features a black silhouetted figure standing in an minimal outdoor setting with a vibrant blue ground, a yelllow sky, and a circular red sun. All works are signed to the front or to the verso; two include additional handwritten information to the verso. Each composition remains unframed.
Condition
- wear along composition edges including fraying, minor bending, small tears; minor spots of paint loss, scratches, and smudge marks scattered throughout compositions.
