Pair of Fine Japanese Kutani Ware Vases

Item Details

A pair of fine Japanese Kutani ware porcelain vases. These vases have flared lips with long curved necks and ovoid shouldered bodes on a footed base. Each piece features a matching red and gilt floral and scroll design to the neck, figural scenes to the base, and elephant head shaped handles on either side of the neck holding loop rings. Calligraphic marks in red (……旭山) are present to the underside.

Condition

- one vase has two hairline cracks.
