Cross Stitch Sampler
Item Details
A cross stitch sampler. The sampler features a poem in the center surrounded by images of a smiling sun, birds, flowers and trees and a repeating border of pink, yellow and blue flowers. It is signed with the initials ‘LP’ to the lower right and mounted under glass with a maroon mat in a dark green, gilt trimmed wooden frame that is wired for hanging. An inscription from the maker to her grandmother is attached to the verso.
Condition
- small marks to the border of the sampler; minor wear to the frame; backing paper punctured and discolored.
