A Chinese embroidery on silk. This textile depicts a pair of peacocks nestled near a curling willow tree, spreading their tail feathers over large flowers. To the top left corner of the composition is a vertical strand of calligraphic text. The work is presented under glass beneath matting in a gold tone wooden frame featuring bamboo motifs and hanging wire to the verso.
