Louise Butler Watercolor with Mixed Media on Paper "Flowers"
Item Details
A mixed media work on paper by Colorado artist Louise Butler titled Flowers. The piece depicts an abstract grouping of colorful flowers rendered in watercolor paint with acrylic and airbrushed embellishments. It is signed ‘L. Butler’ in graphite to the lower left, with the artist’s full name and title written to the frame backing, alongside a circa 1960s business card also bearing the artist’s name. The painting is matted in beige and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- slight toning to paper and matting; minor edge wear, residue and dust to frame; tears to frame’s backing paper with staining along top edge.
