An assortment of three abstract mixed media compositions on canvas boards by listed American artist Ronald Ahlström (1922-2012). These works are composed of acrylic paint, ink, various paper scraps, fragmented printed imagery, and other materials. One work titled Self Portrait features a black and pink silhouetted figure against a yellow, black, and blue background filled with erratic delineations and layered paper. The two other works are mixed media collages featuring abstract geometric designs. One composition is not signed; the other two are signed to the lower right and to the versos with additional handwritten information about the compositions. Each work remains unframed.
Condition
- some wear along composition edges including scratches, small tears, bending, and fraying; minor scratches, smudge marks, and small spots of paint loss scattered throughout compositions.
