Item Details
A portfolio of four halftone reproduction prints on gold tone paper titled The Sportsmen’s Portfolio of Gold-Etch Prints by American artist R.H. Palenske (1884 – 1954). At the lower edge of each print is the artist’s name and title of that print, including Daybreak, Cautious, Startled, and A Five-Pounder, printed in plate. Depicted are geese, moose, ducks, fish, and deer in habitat. These prints are presented unframed in a paper folder with printed information about the artist and series.
Condition
- toning and wear to prints in portfolio throughout; some creasing to edges of prints.
