A hand-knotted Sino-Seraband runner rug. This wool rug, likely made in China, features a classic Persian Seraband design. It begins witha navy blue field densely populated with small_boteh_ worked in shades of dove gray, ivory, and peach. Framing the field are compound borders, including a Serabend meander primary border over cream. Selvedges are overcast. There is cotton warp fringe at each end. Unmarked.
