Wallace "Grand Baroque" Sterling Silver Flatware in Chest

A sterling silver flatware collection by Wallace Silversmiths of Wallingford, CT (established 1871). First introduced in 1941, the Grand Baroque was designed by William S. Warren, featuring an intricate handle with floral and acanthus leaf motifs and openwork detailing. This sixty-two piece set includes twelve dinner forks, eleven salad forks, sixteen teaspoons, eight cream soup spoons, two table spoons, a gravy ladle, and twelve dinner knives. The fork and spoons are stamped on the reverse “Wallace Sterling”, and the knives are marked “Wallace, Sterling Handle, Stainless Blade” to the blades. The total approximate weight, excluding the knives with stainless steel blades, is 80.210 ozt.
