Five Civil War Era Photographic Cartes de Visite
Item Details
A collection of five US Civil War photographic cartes de visite. Three of the photos feature Confederate generals Joseph E. Johnston, John C. Breckinridge, and Thomas ‘Stonewall’ Jackson; the other two photos feature an unknown man and woman in civilian clothing. Each is labeled with the mark of their publisher to the back, and each is contained in a plastic sleeve.
Condition
- one card is torn to the bottom with two corners missing; toning and foxing to cards with areas of staining to some pieces; worn edges and creasing to corners; items are housed in plastic sleeves.
