A marble sculpture of an abstracted female form by sculptor Daniel Newman (American, 20th/21st-century). The slender body of the female form curves and twists from the base and around the legs with a concave backside. Her hips are narrow and she appears without arms as her head distorts into the form of a flame. The sculpture sits upon a separate piece gabbro plinth. Signed in sgraffito to the verso.
