Item Details
A stoneware tableware assortment includes a blue and white hand-painted pitcher after Old Sleepy Eye. Executed in the style of vintage promotional pottery wares produced by Sleepy Eye Milling Company of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, this modern piece features a ceramic body decorated with three teepees and a Native American chief’s profile in a deep cobalt blue glaze. Unmarked, the pitcher has a ridge that runs along the lip and dimple where the handle has been applied. The assortment also includes a signed thrown stoneware cream and sugar set with brown and blue glaze. The creamer features a twisted handle. The set is marked ‘PL’ to the underside.
