A vintage Louis XV style settee by Chateau D’Ax. This piece features tapestry upholstery throughout with a carved floral pediment with gently bowed crest and rounded shoulders over a cushion back, leading to open arms with inset upholstered arm rests and carved hand holds, with curved supports. The piece includes a cushion seat with serpentine, yoked seat support including carved center and rises up on cabriole legs ending in whorl feet. The piece is upholstered in tapestry style fabric featuring an eighteenth century garden courting scene in muted pastel shades on a cream field. A tag is affixed to the underside and reads ‘Chateau D’Ax spa’.
