A mixed media collage on board of an abstracted composition by Chicago based artist Ronald Ahlström (1922 – 2012) . The work depicts multiple geometric paper shapes adhered to the board. Using thickly applied grey, green, and blue paint the abstracted composition creates a disconnect between the cool background colors and warm colored paper aspects. Signed in paint to the bottom right corner and in marker to the verso. Presented in a painted metal frame without glass.
Condition
- work could benefit from a cleaning; some of the paper has come loose; gap to the bottom left corner of the frame; to the verso multiple marks and dents to the foam core protective backing.
