An ornate Japanese Watanabe sterling silver teapot with a water dragon motif. The set includes a creamer, a teapot and lidded sugar bowl. The pieces features a raised water dragon design on the side and the lids with curled handles and rounded finials on the lids. The pieces are marked on the bases ‘Pure silver’ (純銀) alongside a maker’s mark ‘Made by Watanabe’ (渡邉製). The total approximate weight is 23.315 ozt.
