A Johns Hopkins heritage rocking chair by Standard Chair of Gardner. This two tone wood chair features a stained top rail with a crest reading ‘The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, 1876’. Black painted spindles support the backrest and armrests and include gilded details. The chair is supported on four turned legs with a box stretcher and two rails.
