Diorama of Coastal Schooners

A diorama of coastal schooners. This arrangement, presented under glass, depicts a pair of sailing ships made from what seems to be wood and cloth, on a surface painted to resemble low rolling waves. To one corner is a coastline on which stands a lighthouse, small building, and the edge of a fenced-in stableyard. Small figurines are scattered to the decks of the vessels, and there are no visible maker’s marks.

- one horse has fallen over; some wear to case; yellowing to sails.
