Vintage Chinese Double-Towered Teapot with Plate
Item Details
A vintage Chinese double-towered teapot with serving plate. The teapot features double towers with a modified hexagonal form, an angular handle, and a slender spout. The serving plate is ovoid in form with subtle scalloped edges and an oval footed base. The porcelain pieces feature hand-painted floral designs with the plate depicting a gathering of people in traditional attire and the teapot depicting a nature scene with birds and butterflies. The plate is marked ‘CCM’ to the underside.
Condition
- one lid is chipped and missing handle; fading and rubbing of paint; slight staining; marks and scuffs throughout.
