A hand-knotted Indian Persian-style wool area rug. It has an overall herati pattern with arabesqued vines and lancet leaves with decorative palmettes in pinks, ivory and taupes on a deep indigo blue field. It has a contrasting ivory floral band to the outer edge, with overcast edges, protective leather strips to the underside, and long, hand-tied cotton warp fringe. Labeled to verso.
