Semi-Antique Hand Knotted Persian Kashan Rug
Item Details
A semi-antique hand knotted Persian Kashan rug, attributed to the Shadsar workshop but no clear attribution could be established. The wool rug features a central medallion in cream, indigo, yellow and green on a deep red field. The field is populated by floral medallions, blossoms, and vines in a complementary palette with embellished spandrels in deep navy. The field is enclosed by a herati pattern border featuring large palmettes and vines on a blue background. The rug has an overcast edge and a short wool fringe. Unsigned.
