Keith Llewelyn De Carlo Signed Limited Edition Lithograph of Tiger
Item Details
By Hand
A signed original limited edition hand-pulled lithograph on paper by 20th century Modernist Keith Llewelyn De Carlo (Jamaica/Paris, 1925 – 1981). The artist was well-known for his seemingly Scandinavian-influenced depictions of animals, and created a series of bull illustrations similar to this one. Here, a stylized tiger stands against a textured yellow and red background. The tiger’s eyes glow red, and he stares ominously. The print is signed and numbered 249/275 in pencil to the lower margin. It is matted in white and presented in a silver tone metal frame with a wire hanger. A label of authentication from the Société de Vérification de la Nouvelle Gravure Internationale of New York and Paris is attached to the verso.
