PRIORITY-Late 19th Century French Gilt Dressing Screen

A late 19th century French gilt dressing screen. This screen, in the Louis XVI style, has a carved gilt wood frame of three panels with double hinges; the front of the screen consisting of a center panel with the lower two thirds upholstered in fabric and the upper third of carved wood with six mirrored insets below a carved crest, with the two matching side panels having their lower two thirds upholstered in fabric with the upper third of carved wood and open spaces that were once mirrored. The reverse of the screen is covered in plain cotton fabric with the lower two thirds of all of the panels being pleated. Unmarked.
