Chromolithograph Advertisements for Cigarettes and Enameline
Item Details
A pair of chromolithograph advertisements on cardboard for cigarettes and Enameline that were likely produced during the early twentieth century. This selection includes a print from Weber & Fields’ Broadway Music Hall (1912–1915) advertising S. Anaroyos Egyptian Deities Turkish cigarettes. This print is signed illegibly in-plate to the lower left margin, near the nude figure. Also included in this selection is a shaped, cutout advertisement of a girl sitting on a crescent moon with a human face, captioned ‘Enameline / The Modern Stove Polish’. Both pieces are presented under glass in wooden frames with hanging wires to the versos.
