A satin spar lamp. This specimen of the satin spar variety of the calcium sulfate mineral gypsum displays the thick tabular crystal habit common to this variety of the mineral. The specimen has a cavity in the center and a groove to one side to accommodate a small light fixture. The specimen is unmarked.

This item has been examined and verified by an independent Graduate Master Geologist (DCCPLS).
