Two Limited Edition Popeye Sericels

A pair of limited edition Popeye sericel. This pair includes a sericel titled ‘Tallstacks’ depicting Popeye and Olive Oyl chaperoning a group of small children dressed as sailors onto a boat. The children are followed by a group of dogs eager to chase a bone that one of the children dangles from a rod. This piece features a gold tone seal to the lower right reading King Features Syndicate Inc., 1999 and is numbered to the lower left 2005/2500. The second piece is a lithocel and is titled ‘Nice Catch!’ It depicts Pop-eye playing baseball with three small children while Olive Oyl and another small child watch excitedly from indoors. This piece features a King Features Syndicate Inc. seal to the lower left, is signed in gold tone ink ‘Myron Waldman’ to the lower center and is editioned in gold ink 389/7500 to the lower left. Both pieces feature Certificates of Authenticity to the versos.
