Damascus Blade Katana with Dragon Motif and Scabbard
Item Details
A Damascus blade katana with a dragon motif, including a wooden scabbard. Featuring a long, slightly curved sword blade with a central ridge; a maker’s mark is etched into the base of the blade. The hilt features a pierced and ornate tsuba, with a similar ringed pommel and mekuki peg, The wooden grip shares a black and gold toned East Asian design pattern with the scabbard, enhanced by the repeated image of a scaled dragon. The scabbard also has a metal mouth, cord retainer, brace, and tip with geometric and floral designs and appearance to match the tsuba.
Condition
- discoloration and wear throughout hilt and scabbard; tarnish to metal; minor tarnish to blade.
