An East Asian inspired carved and painted wooden Buddha figure. The piece depicts the Buddha standing on a lotus base, while displaying the abhayamudrā gesture with the right hand. The carving includes painted accents in deep hues of red, blue, green, tan and black. No maker’s mark or signature was found.

Condition

- to Poor; cracks, large scratches, nicks, holes, chips and surface wear throughout, with large cracks to head, torso and base; heavy wear to painted decoration with many areas of scuffing and paint loss throughout.
