A vintage W.M. Welch Scientific Company balance scale. It features a silver tone finish with a single arm resting on a fulcrum with a counter balance at one end and a hook to the other. The three bar gram measurement arm is marked Patent number 1872465 and the body of the piece is marked 4030 and the bottom is marked 4030-1.
