East Asian Style Bowenite Bi Disk

An East Asian style bowenite bi disc. This circular sculpture is flattened and polished with a perforated center and slightly rounded edges. This object was used in China as a funerary object buried with the departed as a way of connecting with the sky, the shape of which represents both the earth and heavens.
