Chinese Lacquered Wood Altar

Item Details

A Chinese lacquered wood altar. The top depicts three panels with hand painted images of Guanyin, lotus flowers, and other Chinese figures framed by gilt painted Chinese writing and auspicious symbols. The top and sides are embellished with relief bird and foliate imagery. It rests upon a rectangular stand with an open center. The entire piece features a dark burgundy lacquered finish.
