Victorian Walnut Butler's Secretary Chest

An interesting Victorian walnut butler’s secretary/chest featuring a large pierced top gallery in a scrolled leaf design, six burl front drawers with the third drawer having a drop front to the desk inside with cubbies, turned dowels to the sides and writing surface. The drawers have brass escutcheons, locking hardware (no key present), and hinged pulls with back plates embossed in a large scrolled design. The chest also features an interesting decorative trim with drilled hole pattern and scrolled apron with leaf detail.

Condition

- has wear to finish throughout, one handle missing from drawer pull.
