A Steiff museum edition replica of 1928 Penguin. This adorable penguin displays the wonderful Steiff craftsmanship, with leather bill, wings and feet. He displays his chest label and ear button, swivel head, leather collar, bell, hand-painted face and covering of fine mohair plush and velvet. Identification number to back of box is B85-001135. The Steiff Museum opened in 1980, commemorating the company’s 100th anniversary with a large variety of iconic Steiff creations. The “Museum Collection” began in 1984, and each piece offered is a limited edition, with this 1928 ‘Penguin’ restricted to 8,000. He comes still attached in his original packaging.
