Large Iron Cooking Pot
Item Details
An antique oblong cast metal oblong pot. A primitive antique huge cast iron oblong oval cooking pot or ham boiler has four peg feet which allowed it to be set into a hearth or fire pit. It has open handles at each end. This piece of cast iron has gate marks on the bottom which dates this piece to the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. Gate marks were created where the molten iron was poured into a mold. The item is quite heavy.
