A Tekke Bokhara area rug. This wool rug is finely hand-knotted in a palette of cranberry, crimson, teal, peach, black, and ivory. It begins with a lattice pattern featuring Tekke guls and hooked diamond motifs over a cranberry-colored field. The field is framed by nine wraparound borders, including a main border containing boxed starburst motifs. A horizontal panel at the top and bottom of the rug features a diamond lattice pattern over cranberry. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with long wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
