A pair of hand-colored engravings, attributed as wood engravings, on paper, of palm trees and dogs. The work of palm trees is presented without a visible signature, a pair of small figures standing at the base of one plant. The print of dogs features an illustration of long-nosed dogs subtitled Le Matin, le Chien de Berger and another of mastiff-like animals marked Le Dogue, le Doguin, both marked as being engraved by an artist called ‘Beaupré,’ after work by ‘V. Adam,’ perhaps French artist Jean Victor Adam (1801–1867). Both pieces are double-matted inside of gold tone wood and gesso frames with wires for hanging.
