East Asian Style Ink and Watercolor Paintings on Silk of Tigers
Item Details
A pair of East Asian style ink and watercolor paintings on silk of tigers. These two paintings depict the aforementioned felines posed in resting and prowling pose, the latter of which inches towards the foreground while snarling. The stylized renderings are slightly obscured by bushes composed of loose, gestural brush strokes. To the corners of each composition is Asian calligraphic text and a red artist seal. The paintings are presented in natural wood frames moulded with bamboo motifs and hanging wire to the verso. The painting of the tiger posed resting on all fours is presented under glass.
Condition
- glass missing from one painting with foxing marks to upper left; wear and abrasions to frames.

- measures one frame; each frame measures approximately identical.
