An offset lithograph on paper after a print by R. Havell after a drawing by noted wildlife painter John James Audubon (1785-1851). The work, titled Black-billed Cuckoo, depicts a male and female cuckoo bird chasing an insect through magnolia blossoms and leaves. The original work is from the collection of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. This piece is presented behind an off-white mat under glass in a wood frame with a wire to verso for hanging.
