A pair of limited edition etchings on paper titled Widow’s Peek and You Can’t Go Home Again, by American artist Carol Travers Lummus (b. 1937). These whimsical prints depict an elderly woman in a dress with flowers holding on to a column beside a portrait of a man, with her cat on the floor. The etching is framed by a collagraph print of decorative texture, and it is marked 16 in an edition of 350. The second print depicts a hummingbird ‘drinking’ from the bell of a record player, and is marked 12 in an edition of 350. Spot color in each composition highlights the subjects. Each print is signed, titled and dated in pencil beneath the image. They are presented under off-white mats and glass in composite wood frames with decorative gesso patterns in relief. Each frame is wired to hang.
