A large power-loomed area rug. This Turkish-made wool rug features a Kazak-inspired design in a palette or red, midnight blue, ivory, and forest green. It begins with a small, oval medallion surrounded by Kazak-style motifs and partial iterations of Kazak medallions, over a red field. The field is framed by six borders, including running water and meandering floral patterns over blue or ivory. Selvedges are bound; top and bottom finish with tan applied fringe. The rug is labeled on the reverse.
