Item Details

A group of three antique books on home health care. Included is an 1897 edition of A Physician In the House Family and Individual Consultation written in plain language by Dr. J.H. Greer (Dr. J.H. Greer, Chicago, 1897). The book is illustrated with numerous colored plates and wood engravings. It is bound in a dark mauve cloth cover with black lettering to the spine and front cover with a stamped illustration to the cover. The frontispiece is tissue-guarded. A leather-bound edition of Dr. Chase’s Third, Last and Complete Receipt Book And Household Physician, Or Practical Knowledge For the People, was written by Dr. A. W. Chase (F.B. Dickerson, Detroit, 1907). The book is illustrated with black-on-white and color plates. Another leather-bound volume titled The Century Book Of Health was written by Dr. J.H. McCormick (The King-Richardson Company, Springfield, Massachusetts, 1906).
