A limited edition reproduction lithograph after the original drawing by John Lennon titled Family. Better known for his musical career, both as a member of the Beatles and his solo work, artist John Lennon (1940 – 1980) also created visual art. Bag One, his best known series, contained images detailing his honeymoon and life with wife Yoko Ono. Authorized by Yoko Ono on behalf of the John Lennon estate, many drawings have been released posthumously in limited edition lithograph series. Family, 1979, from the collection This is my story both humble and true depicts John, Yoko, and their son Sean. This piece bears Yoko’s seal printed in red, Lennon’s facsimile signature is printed in plate in blue ink. This print is numbered in pencil, 1985/5000, by an unknown hand. The print is set behind glass in a black metal frame.
