A hand-tufted Chinese Savonnerie style carved wool area rug. The rug has a robin’s egg blue field with an oval medallion both infilled and framed with floral motifs worked in shades of peach, rose, coral, rust, gold, ivory, blue, and green with carving at the edges. The floral and foliar motifs are reiterated at the borders. There is fringe at each end and a cleaning label attached to the back.
