A Chinese embroidery on silk of a nature scene. This threaded work depicts squat birds perched on thin trees sprouting pale green and cream flowers from their twisting branches. The composition rests against a flat, navy blue field. The work is bordered by a woven, ornate motif, and is placed under glass in a gold tone metal frame featuring a linen mat. To the verso is affixed hanging wire.

- some wear to frame; smudges to surface of protective glazing; some clouding under glazing; some abrasions to verso.
