He clutches at a pick, mid-strum on his lute. They pose against a textured wall of earthen tones featuring star patterning to the left edge. To the lower right corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature. The painting is presented in a black and gold tone wooden frame featuring gessoed ornate motifs and hanging wire to the verso.
